Following their sold out performance at Docks Academy in 2023, Nirvana Tribute returns to Grimsby on Saturday 30th November 2024, with support from Revivalry! Saturday 30th November This world-touring, world-renowned tribute has toured in more than a dozen countries across North America, Europe and Asia, and has won over fans and received high praise from audiences and critics alike. Despite disbanding in 1994 following the tragic passing of frontman Kurt Cobain, Nirvana have remained a staple of music and continues to influence the music world even after nearly 30 years since their disbandment. Songs like 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', 'Come as You Are', 'Lithium', and 'Heart Shaped Box' have all been picked up by new generations of fans, and cherished by those who were around during the late '80s and into the '90s when Nirvana dominated the world of music. Their authentic take on Nirvana is fronted by Jon O'Connor who faithfully assumes the role of the great Kurt Cobain who captivates audiences from the get-go. They've even caught the attention of Nirvana's original Drummer, Aaron Burckhard, who's given them his approval, stating that they are "the closest to the real thing". Nirvana Tribute carefully respects and continues the legacy of one of the most beloved bands of all time. "The closest you will ever come to hearing Cobain's voice in person" - Loudwire "Nirvana Tribute took stage & tore the roof off" - KERRANG! Revivalry are tearing up the scene. These teenage trailblazers have exploded onto the alternative circuit in the last year, captivating audiences with their youthful energy and infectious punk infused indie-rock sound. Their rapid ascent has seen them share stages with rock titans like Reverend & The Makers, The Reytons and The Lathums as well as playing major festivals including Kendal Calling, Tramlines Fringe and Humber Street Sesh. Now in 2024, making history as the youngest band to ever play Kendal Calling's main stage, Revivalry have earned their place in the spotlight. Signed to Manchester indie label Cosmic Glue, their debut single ‘The Town’ quickly earned a spot in Apple Music's New In Rock playlist. With a packed festival summer, including Victorious, Camper Calling, and Garristonbury (supporting Andrew Cushin, The Rosadocs, and The Lilacs), and a recent BBC interview celebrating their Kendal Calling milestone, the band's future is undeniably bright. Inspired by the likes of Nirvana, Supergrass, and Arctic Monkeys, Revivalry channel their youthful rebellion into a sound that's as explosive as it is authentic.
